Excess Baggage

New Baggage Policy

Our newly revised baggage policy will take effect on Sunday 28 October 2018, the baggage allowance will vary depending on your ticket fare family, Falconflyer membership and final destination.
Passengers with tickets purchased prior to 28 October 2018 for travel after the policy change effective date, will not be impacted and the ticket terms will be applied.

Note: Passengers flying to/from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh

Effective Sunday 15th July 2018, all Gulf Air passengers flying to/from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh are permitted to check-in a maximum of two pieces of baggage, with a maximum combined weight as per ticketed baggage weight allowance. Gulf Air Falconflyer members’ additional baggage weight allowance is not impacted. These revisions apply to all tickets, irrespective of issuance dates for travel from Sunday 15th July 2018 onwards.

If your baggage exceeds the free baggage allowances, you may purchase your pre-paid excess baggage at discounted rates online or through your local Gulf Air office. Alternatively, excess baggage can be purchased at competitive rates at the airport by our Customer Service staff.

If you are making your entire journey on Gulf Air operated flights, the following excess baggage rates apply. This depends on the 'zone' of your origin and destination within the entire Gulf Air network. You can calculate it yourself and plan it ahead to suit your travel budget.

If you are travelling with other airlines on your Gulf Air ticket, standard IATA baggage rates will apply. Our Check-in Agents will be able to assist you should you require further information.
