No, there is no need to re-confirm your flight with Gulf Air.
What can I do if I don't receive an email?
Go to My Bookings Enter your family name and the six-character reservation code provided to you by Gulf Air. If you still encounter problems, please call your nearest Gulf Air office.
What are the benefits for the passenger?
You cannot lose the e-ticket - the booking always remains in the reservation system and can be accessed at any time, therefore, there is no hassle with police reports for missing documents
Where will e-ticketing be available?
Gulf Air has completed implementation of e-ticketing on all routes that it serves and this will be the only form of ticketing issued to customers. What if I don't want to use an e-ticket. Do I have a choice?
Since 1 June 2008 passengers can no longer select to have paper tickets issued. Wherever possible an e-ticket will be issued. There are very few exceptions when this is still not possible.
Does this mean that Miscellaneous Charge Orders, refund vouchers etc, will also be issued in the same way without paper?
No, for the time-being, these items will still be paper based.
Will infants be issued with an e-ticket as well?
Yes, also in most cases of interline travel (a ticket with flights made on several airlines). Very few tickets on partner airlines still require a paper ticket for the baby.
When I make a PTA request, I am not given any papers. How do I know that a booking exists for the person ticketed?
An email with a link to the e-ticket Receipt will be sent to the person for whom the ticket is being issued. This is faster, safer and more efficient. Local office staff will also call the passenger to advise them of the transaction.
What happens in the case of a disruption?
Every effort will be made to contact you before you depart for the airport and to make any other arrangements necessary.
Can an e-ticket only be issued when an online booking is made?
Not at all. This is just one way of making a booking.
How do I know a booking has been made if I am not issued with a ticket?
An email containing a link to the e-ticket Receipt with all details of your booking will be sent to you. If you are making the booking at a ticketing office, then you can receive your e-ticket Receipt on the spot.
How can I make changes to my booking as I don't hold a ticket to be changed?
Just by calling your local ticketing/reservations office. You don't even need to go there in person, as the electronic records will be updated on the central system.
How is an e-ticket re validated as there is nowhere to put a sticker?
As the ticket is electronic, we will no longer be issuing stickers for tickets that have been revalidated. Instead, the update will be made dynamically in the system, where it is visible to all staff involved in processing your journey.
How close to the departure time can I make changes to my booking/ticket?
Anytime before departure.
What happens if I need to change to another airline?
Your Gulf Air e-ticket will be re-issued to an e-ticket on the other airline whenever possible. Only in exceptional cases will a paper ticket be issued.
What happens if my flight is cancelled and I have to go on another route where e-tickets are not currently in use?
The e-ticket will be converted to a traditional paper ticket to enable you to travel.
What is "Web Check-in"?
Web Check-in is a self service check in available online.The service is available from 24 hours until 90 minutes before your flight departure time.
This service enables you to:
- Check-in for yourself and the passengers travelling with you
- Complete your personal details required by the customs services
- Select your seat on the plane
- Print your boarding pass
Who can use web check-in?
You can check in online when your journey begins with a Gulf Air scheduled flight or includes a connecting flight on Gulf Air.
This service is offered for flights departing from several airports.
The web check-in services is not available for the following categories of passengers at this time:
- Unaccompanied minors
- Passengers with an extra seat
- Passengers with a duplicate booking
- Passengers on a wheelchair or stretcher
- Passengers with paper tickets
- Rebate passengers with staff and duty tickets

To check-in online you have to follow these steps:

Do all airports accept the home printed boarding passes?
No, some airports do not allow the home printed boarding pass. However, web check-in speeds up the check-in process and eliminates the need of standing in long queues. The below table specifies each airport policy.
Note: For airports which do not allow home printed boarding pass, you can finish your check-in process online and collect your boarding pass from the check-in area at the airport.

How to complete the Identification step?
The Indentification step requires you to retreive your booking, you can do so by entering the following information:
- Family name: as it is written on the booking confirmation
- Departure Airport: The airport name where you take the first plane of your journey
- A form of identification: One of the following:
- Gulf Air Booking reference: a 6 letter code you find on the booking confirmation. Example ABCDEF. Please note it must be the Gulf Air booking reference, not the travel agent’s reference.
- ticket number: A 13 digit number starting with 072 (e.g. 0722422475859)
- Gulf Air Falconflyer: If you are enrolled in our Falconflyer programme and it is mentioned in your booking, then enter all 11 digits without spaces or dashes. Example 14659811002.
What is "I want to check additional passengers in" used for?
If you are traveling with friends or family, by ticking this box, you can check-in together even if you have different booking codes. Please note that a maximum of 9 passengers, can be checked-in at one go.
Some passengers cannot be selected, why is that?
Either the passenger is already checked-in, or requires extra-services which is only available at the airport. These passengers are displayed for informational purposes, but no modification can be made for these passengers.
What is "add another passenger" functionality?
If you are traveling with other people, that are on the same or different bookingcode. You can add them in order to check-in at the same time and select seats together. These passengers must have the same journey and class of travel as you.
Why doesn't my Falconflyer number appear in the confirmation step?
The Falconflyer number is only displayed if it already included in the booking. If you cannot see it, it means that it is not in the booking. You can add it by clicking on the "add
Why can't some flights be selected?
Some flights are on different airlines and cannot be checked-in online. You need to go to the airport to check-in these flights.
Why do I have to provide my personal data?
Customs of each country require certain data about the passengers to allow them to enter the country. This data needs to be entered before allowing you to board the plane. You can use the web check-in to enter the data yourself, in order to save time at the airport. If you don't have the data, you will still be checked-in but you will have to provide the data at the airport in order to collect your boarding pass(es).
Gulf Air does not use the data provided for any other purpose than to fulfill customs requirements. Your data will not be stored nor used once the custom process is completed.
Why can't I print some boarding passes?
Some security requirements may forbid us to print boarding passes. In this case, the security reason is displayed next to the passenger name. You are still checked-in and you can collect your boarding passes at the airport under completion of the security requirements.
How can I select a seat?
To select a seat, you have to select a passenger on the left column and then select an available seat on the seatmap and confirm the seat.
Why isn't my seat change being validated?
It may happen that while you were selecting your seat, another passenger requested the seats you selected. In this case, another seat has been allocated to you. You can go back to the seatmap to request another seat.
Another reason is that you swapped seats between the different passengers in your group. You should instead keep your seats and change them when you are on the plane.
Why doesn't my Frequent flyer programme appear in the list?
Only Gulf Air and Gulf Air partners' Frequent flyer cards can be used on the journey. If your frequent flyer programme does not appear in the list, you cannot apply for miles on this journey.

What cheap flights are available?
Special deals are featured on the Home page of the website or under Special Deals - Alternatively, contact your local Gulf Air office for details.
There are no flights available for any of the dates I am selecting. Why is this?
In most cases the flights may be full. Please check different dates and if our system still does not offer you any flights on any of the dates, please contact us.
I want to check my reservation with Gulf Air. Is this possible?
Under the Plan & Book section of the Gulf Air website, there is a link for Manage My Bookings. If you enter your Reservation Code (PNR) and family name, you can view all flights you have booked with Gulf Air. Alternatively, if you have any issues, please call the local Gulf Air office.
Why am I unable to buy tickets from some destinations in Africa?
Unfortunately, for the short term, we do not offer bookings from these destinations but we will be adding these in the near future. In the meantime, please contact our Call Centre or visit your nearest Gulf Air office to make a booking.
I am trying to buy a ticket more than one year ahead of time but am unable to select a day. Why?
We are only able to sell tickets 11 months in advance. This is common airline practice.
Is there a limit to the number of people I can buy tickets for online?
We currently accept bookings online for up to 7 people at one time.
How soon before I fly can I buy a ticket online?
Tickets can be purchased up to just 3 hours before a flight between airports in the GCC and up to 9 hours in all other cases.
Is it possible to be waitlisted for online bookings?
No, we do not have a waitlist option.
Do I have to enter my details every time I buy a ticket online?
We are working on an option where you will be able to sign in easily, but currently you must enter your details each time you purchase a ticket online. As an FFP member, you will be able to login with your details once you reach the review page during the booking, using information saved in your FFP account.
When do I receive my tickets?
Electronic tickets are sent as soon as you purchase your ticket and will be sent to the e-mail address you provide.
Where can I get an explanation of the fare rules?
Fare rules are clearly indicated in the “Review Details” page of the booking process. Make sure that you also click on the “Detailed” fare rules link before you continue to the next page.
Can my parents, spouse or friends purchase a ticket for me even if they are not travelling with me?
Yes, this is possible. Credit Card holder may be contacted to verify the payment.
- How can I cancel my booking?
I did not print my itinerary and I deleted the email, what do I do?
If you have your booking reference/ record locator you can retrieve your itinerary/e-ticket receipt by visiting the "My Bookings" section on the Gulf Air website. If, however, you do not know your record locator, please contact our Call Centre or visit your nearest Gulf Air office and provide your name, travel dates and details.
How can I get the best deals on flights?
Special offers are regularly available on gulfair.com so make sure you visit the website frequently. Please note that low fares are subject to availability and it is advisable to book early.
Why are there different prices for the same cabin?
There are different fare rules for different prices. Higher fares also come with greater flexibility in terms of ticket cancellation and date change policies.
Can I book special assistance services on www.gulfair.com (wheelchair/ visually impaired/ hearing impaired)?
Yes. In the passenger detail section of the booking process you can log your request.
